Albanyoak is committed to achieving
high standards of health and safety for our staff, customers and all those
affected by our organisational activities and will conduct our business in
an environmentally responsible manner.
This policy is provided and explained to
each employee by the Managing Director, Technical Director, Technical
Manager or the Safety, Health & Environmental Representative.
Achievement of this policy involves all staff, who are individually
responsible for good environmental, health & safety practice, resulting
in a continually improving working environment for all.
To achieve and maintain the required level
of assurance the Managing Director retains responsibility for the Safety,
Health & Environmental Management System with routine operation
controlled by the Technical Manager or the Safety, Health &
Environmental Representative.
The policy aims are to:
• have in place comprehensive
policies and procedures to manage safety, health & environmental
practices;
• set clear objectives and
targets
• as a minimum, comply with the
requirements of relevant legislation;
• minimise risk in all
operations;
• maintain emergency plans to
safeguard people and the environment in the event of fires, floods or other
disasters within the workplace;
• regularly audit and review
our operations and monitor our performance, so that we are
able to set clear targets for improvement and time-scales within
which to meet those targets;
• promote safety, health &
environmental awareness throughout all levels of the company and ensure
that all staff are provided with such information, training, supervision,
and equipment as needed to carry out this policy.
• continually improve upon our
systems and operations to minimise the effects on the environment and to
promote good health and safety practice.
