Aquatreat and Chemtreat where established as part of Albany oak limited company by managing Director Derek Quinnell, the former British Lion, Wales, Llanelli and Barbarian forward. Upon his retirement from, Llanelli RFC in 1982 Derek found he had the time needed to devote to establishing a quality orientated speciality chemical business.

Initially the company was located in a WDA factory in capel hendre Industrial estate near Ammanford. however,growth in those early years was so rapid that in 1986 we relocated to our present base, a purpose built manufacturing plant on the North Dock Industrial Estate in Llanelli.
Over the last 25 years both companies have enjoyed steadied growth although in time of Industrial decline, we have been able to achieve such success by our dedication, service, reliability and flexibility. We pride ourselves on retaining customer loyalty through these attributed along with quality products at affordable prices.
As the companies have grown over the years we have found the need to constantly grow out technical department consisting of chemists, chemical engineers and water service engineers. The Technical Director Mr Kerry Williams is continuously pushing his team for development of new ideas,services and products.
In June of 2006 Derek was joined on the board of Directors by his son Craig Quinnell who returned to the Company after an absence of 11 years pursuing his career as a professional rugby player,where he followed in his fathers footsteps in representing Wales, Llanelli, Barbarians and Cardiff.
